- What it is: payment if turning a vacant house/building into a permanent home or rental property; also supports conversion of entire former commercial/public-use buildings into residential units.
- Qualifying (key points): proof of ownership (or active negotiations to buy); vacant 2+ years; built pre-2008; named owners only (no registered companies); applies nationwide.
- Rates: up to β¬50,000 (incl. VAT); derelict top-up up to β¬20,000 (max β¬70,000). Commercial/public-use conversions can reach β¬95k/β¬135k depending on unit count + dereliction status.
- Apply: via the local authority where the building is located (use correct form: single dwelling vs. conversion).
- Documents (examples): proof of vacancy/ownership; quotation; and for derelict: independent report or confirmation on the Derelict Sites Register.

- What itβs for: helps fund an Expert Advice Report from an appropriately qualified professional (typically to support βabove the shopβ conversions / vacant commercial-to-residential conversions).
- Funding rule: grant covers up to 67% of the overall cost (incl. VAT), capped at β¬5,000.

- What itβs for: 67% of costs (max β¬5,000) for a conservation expert to visit, survey, and produce tailored conservation advice/report.
